As the dawn breaks over the peaks on the horizon, a magnificent bull elk moving a small herd, takes his time grazing and crossing the alpine meadow in front of the studio. Thus begins the day at Laloba Ranch Clay Center. In this peaceful secluded valley just 12 short miles to the international resort town of Steamboat Springs, Colorado a different very special workshop experience is to be found. The Center provides a true "mentoring" environment with nationally known and recognized clay artists who are dedicated instructors reaping the rewards of leading close knit, intensive sessions with students, nurturing their individual talents and growth as clay artists.

Laloba Ranch Clay Center is an art school dedicated solely to the advancement of ceramic arts. Each workshop is limited to ten serious students. Basic forming skills are required of all students. Emphasis will be on developing techniques, encouraging individual creative vision, and fostering close relationships that encourage the free exchange of ideas which advance our work and enrich our lives.
